L’Atelier ElectroREPAIR. UNDERSTAND. KEEP USING.

England → our workshop in Reims, France

Repair your electronics by post from England.

L’Atelier Electro diagnoses and repairs devices in Reims, France. If you live in England, contact us first with your device details and address. We need to check whether the device can be accepted, how it will enter France for repair, and how the same device will return to you. Do not pay for a diagnosis or send a parcel until these arrangements have been confirmed.

You pay for shipping from England to France and for the return to England. Customs, tax and clearance charges may be additional; the arrangements must be agreed before dispatch.

The first step is an email or telephone enquiry, before payment and dispatch. Do not use the paid French shipping form to bypass this check. Existing booking forms and contractual terms are in French.

Published diagnosis prices in euros. Approval comes first.

Online diagnosis and administration€40.85French price including tax, excluding options
Thermomix€61.20French price including tax, excluding options

Our published standard diagnosis and administration price is €40.85 including French tax: €39.90 for the diagnosis plus €0.95 compulsory administration and follow-up. The Thermomix price is €61.20, comprising €59.90 diagnosis plus €1.30 administration. The diagnosis component is deducted from the accepted service; administration and optional extras are not deducted.

These figures do not include shipping, repair work or customs charges. Prices and payments are in EUR; your bank may apply currency conversion charges. The applicable booking and tax arrangements must be confirmed for your case before payment. A diagnosis payment alone does not authorise dispatch from England.

From England to Reims, then back to the same owner.

  1. Contact us before payment or dispatch

Send the full English address and postcode, brand, model, fault, serial number and evidence-supported device value. Tell us about any battery, along with the parcel’s proposed dimensions and weight.

  2. Confirm the transport and customs route

The carrier, declarant, entry into France for repair and export and return arrangements in England must be checked. Both shipping legs, possible charges and who is responsible for each step need to be clear. Wait for confirmation.

  3. Open the approved case and keep your paperwork

Once acceptance and logistics are confirmed, follow the booking and payment instructions given by the workshop. Keep the case reference, export and transport documents and proof identifying your device. Pack only the requested equipment.

  4. Approve any repair and arrange the return

Our Reims workshop diagnoses the fault and gives you a repair quotation. Further repair work requires your approval. Return documents must link the same device to its original shipment and include the details of work and parts.

A real French workshop, with a postal repair service

PCs, consoles, Thermomix devices and electronic boards may be considered according to model, fault and transport eligibility. All workshop work takes place at 6 bis rue Denis Papin, 51100 Reims, France. We are not advertising a branch in England or a home visit there. A device assessment does not guarantee that repair is possible.

Repairs are a cross-border movement, not simply a parcel sale

England–France shipments are not ordinary intra-EU movements. Goods leaving England for repair and returning may need a suitable outward-processing arrangement and evidence of export. Their entry into France for repair also needs the appropriate declaration and procedure. We do not claim that the workshop already has every required authorisation or that a parcel marked “repair” will automatically avoid duty or VAT.

Documents to discuss before booking

Keep the owner and return recipient identifiable, and describe the actual device, model, serial number, quantity and justified value. The carrier or customs declarant may require a pro forma document stating that the device is sent for repair rather than sold, export and import references, and a repair mandate. On return, the repair invoice should identify the work and parts and link back to the original shipment. A CN22 or CN23, where applicable, does not by itself settle the complete repair procedure.

No automatic promise of duty or tax relief

UK outward-processing and re-import reliefs have conditions. Proof linking export and return matters, and repair, freight, VAT and clearance charges can affect the final costs. Ask the carrier or declarant what applies to your case and agree responsibilities before shipment. Do not declare a false zero value or label a repair parcel as a gift.

Batteries need approval from the exact transport service

An installed battery is not an automatic shipping clearance. The specific carrier and service must accept the used device for both journeys. Tell us its battery type, capacity and condition. Loose batteries, power banks, swollen, damaged, defective or safety-recalled batteries are excluded from this standard parcel route. Do not open or handle a damaged battery to make it fit a parcel service.

Safe contents and a realistic return plan

Complete airbags, gas generators and pyrotechnic seat-belt pretensioners are outside this postal repair route. For a genuinely separate electronic control board without a pyrotechnic charge, provide the part reference for confirmation. Agree the return carrier, cost and address before sending. Transit, clearance, assessment and parts availability affect the timetable; no fixed delivery or repair deadline is promised here.

Tell us what you would like to send from England.

Please email the device details, fault, serial number, justified value, full dispatch and return address, battery information, package weight and dimensions. We will use this to check acceptance and the required logistics. Wait for explicit instructions before paying for the diagnosis or sending the parcel.

Before shipping from England

Can I pay online now and post the device afterwards?

Contact us first. For England, logistics and customs acceptance must be checked before payment and dispatch. Paying the ordinary French diagnosis form is not a substitute for this approval.

Are shipping or customs charges included in €40.85?

No. That published figure covers the standard diagnosis and compulsory administration only, excluding options. Both shipping legs are at your cost. Any applicable tax, duty or clearance charges must be clarified separately.

Does this page cover every UK address?

This page is for customers in England. Northern Ireland and other territories can have different arrangements; do not assume the same procedure applies. Contact the workshop with your actual address.
